How fast can you get here after the storm?

Depends on the day and what's already on the schedule. After a tornado the phone doesn't stop, and Dan isn't going to promise you a window he can't hit. Call or text and he'll tell you honestly where you'd land. Smaller loads can often get worked in around the bigger jobs, and sending photos up front helps him route the day efficiently.

What size dumpsters do you have?

Four sizes: 10 yard at $300, 12 yard at $320, 15 yard at $350, and 20 yard at $400. Each one is a flat monthly rate that covers delivery, pickup and disposal.

The 12 yard is the popular all-rounder for a garage or basement. The 20 yard is the largest and suits construction debris or a full property clear-out. Tell Dan what you're clearing and he'll point you at the size that fits.

Can you take tree limbs, brush, and stumps?

Yes. Limbs, brush piles, cut trunk sections, root balls and pulled stumps all get hauled and disposed of. Worth being clear about what Dan is, though: he's a hauling and disposal operator, not a tree service. He doesn't trim, prune, or grind stumps. Once the wood is on the ground, that's his job.

How much does it cost?

For a dumpster, the flat monthly rate covers delivery, pickup and disposal: $300 for a 10 yard, $320 for a 12, $350 for a 15, and $400 for a 20.

If you would rather not pay a flat monthly rate, there is a per-dump option with no monthly rental fee and no long-term contract. You pay $125 per dump plus $65 per ton measured at the landfill, with a 1 ton minimum. For cleanout and storm work where Dan and the crew do the loading, price depends on volume, access and haul distance, so he gives you a number before anything moves.

Do I need to be home?

Not usually. Plenty of jobs get done with the homeowner at work. As long as Dan can get to the pile, and you've been clear about exactly what goes and what stays, he can handle it and follow up with you after. For cleanouts where the line between junk and keepsakes isn't obvious, it's better if somebody's there.

How long can I keep the dumpster?

The dumpster rate is monthly, so the container stays on your property for the month. If you're partway through and need longer, call him. That's usually fine. If you fill it early, call and he'll come get it.

If a flat monthly rate isn't the right shape for your job, ask about per-dump pricing instead. There is no monthly rental fee, and you only pay when the dumpster gets dumped.

Do you do demolition too?

Light demolition, yes. Sheds, decks, fences, above-ground pools, small garages and outbuildings. Dan tears it down and hauls the debris away in the same job, so you're not left standing over a pile of broken lumber. Structural work on an occupied house isn't what he does. Ask him and he'll tell you straight whether your job fits.

What can't you take?

Hazardous material is the short answer. That means chemicals and solvents, wet or liquid paint, motor oil, fuel and propane tanks, asbestos-containing material, tires, car batteries, and medical or biohazard waste. Those have their own disposal rules and can't ride in a regular dumpster or truck.

Concrete and brick are handled, but they're priced separately because of the weight. Scrap-only loads are their own thing too. A few other items depend on the load: appliances with refrigerant, large dirt volumes, and anything unusually heavy. Just ask before you toss it in. If Dan can't take something, he'll tell you where it does go.
